XIN Qiji (1140-1207), styled Frank Man at first, and later changed to Child Free; and Hermit by literary name. The poet, a native of Licheng County, Jinan Prefecture in East Road, Shandong Province (present-day Licheng District, Jinan). Xin was an official, military leader and a lyricist of bold and unconstrained school in the Southern Song dynasty. He was praised as “the Dragon of Lyrics”. Over 600 of his lyric are available today, and Hermit’s Long & Short Sentences, a lyrics collection, is one of his posthumous works.(韩上上译)
